TRICHLOROISOCYANURIC ACID (TCCA) | CONCENTRATE IN POWDER
Trichloroisocyanuric acid is an organic compound with the formula (C3Cl3N3O3). The compound is a disinfectant, algicide and bactericide mainly for swimming pools and dyestuffs, and is also used as a bleaching agent in the textile industry. It is widely used in civil sanitation for pools and spas, preventing and curing diseases in animal husbandry and fisheries, fruit and vegetable preservation, wastewater treatment, as an algicide for recycled water in industry and air conditioning, in anti shrink treatment for woolens, for treating seeds and in organic chemical synthesis. Trichloroisocyanuric acid is prepared from cyanuric acid via a reaction with chlorine gas and trisodium cyanurate.

  • Store under inert gas.

  • Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. 

Hygiene measures 

  • Change contaminated clothing. 
  • Preventive skin protection recommended. 
  • Wash hands after working with substance.

  • Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.

General advice.

If inhaled After inhalation: 

  • Fresh air. 

In case of skin contact: 

  • Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. 
  • Rinse out with plenty of water.

In case of eye contact 

  • Rinse out with plenty of water. 
  • Call an ophthalmologist. 
  • Remove contact lenses. 

If swallowed 

After swallowing: immediately make the victim drink water (two glasses at most). Consult a physician at once.
